The beginning

I called Dr. G's office yesterday for an referral to the Bariatric surgery. I've struggled all my life with my weight but with the addition of 175lbs when I started the diabetics medications in 2004 my weight has gotten to 354lbs. Not only does this make me physically uncomfortable but affects my outlook on life. I deserve to be healthy and happy. Since I can not restrict my food intake to lose weight I'll have to have a surgery(Lap Band?) to restrict the size and amount of food to accomplish this. When I look around at my fellow humans I see that I'm not alone in this struggle
